The plantation and a modern tea factory has been part of the PTP Nusantara VIII group since 1996. Premium tea of Gedeh is exported under the name "Tanawatee". A Tea House in the kampong (near the guard post for the car entrance) serves local tea with lemon.

The Northern edge of the plantation overlooks the valley of Ci Batulempar, the site of more waterfall than any other river in West Java (over than 12 waterfalls), three are over 35 meters tall.
